Add a Commentthe best part of this movie is Carrie Fisher with a shotgun. unfortunately, it's probably not even 5 minutes' worth of screen time.
As was stated by another poster, the best slasher films were done in the 70' and early 80's. What more could possibly be done to improve on them? Well, I don't know and neither does this movie.
Few modern slashers are as good as those of the '80s and '90s. This is not one of them. As is typical of the slasher subgenre, the film is about a group of teenagers who are attacked by a 'masked man' with a weapon. Not a very good movie, not even for a slasher.
Fair - Sorority Row (2009) 101 min. Completely unrealistic slasher tale about a fatal incident that returns to haunt the girls that were a part of a gag that went terribly wrong. What didn’t work was the sense of humour interlaced with someone explicitly and brutally killing every teenager around regardless of whether they had anything to do with the fatal accident or not. The resolution left me scratching my head – though not predictable; it’s highly improbable. The film was inspired by the 1983 film “The House on Sorority Row”.
